Clarcor's Q2 earnings drop more than 30% - Puget Sound Business Journal (Seattle):

Franklin-basedf Clarcor (NYSE: CLC) reported income of $25,582, or $0.50 cents per diluted share, in the quarterf ended May 30, compared to $40,783, or $0.890 cents per diluted share, in the year-ago period. Revenuer came in at $229,395 for the down 14.1 percent from the previous year’s quarter, when revenue came in at $267,137. Analysts, on estimated earnings of 38 cents per share on revenuesof $243.1 million, according to Reuters Estimates.
“As we had this year’s second quarter was though operating results were much stronger than in our firsrtfiscal quarter,” says Norm Johnson, Clarcor’ws chairman and CEO, in a “Our order rates, overall, have and we are beginninv to see indications of increasexd product demand in selected markets.” Clarcor makesz mobile, industrial and environmental filtration products and consumer and industriakl packaging products sold to domestic and international markets.
Johnson noteds that more than 80 percenf of its filter sales are generated from the replacement filter so even if new building and equipment continueseto falter, maintenance of existing equipment and facilitiesz will continue. Shares of Clarcor closed up or 3.66 percent to $30.57 at the bell The 52-week range is $23.05 to $44.13.
