The agreement — the firstg of its kind between a national laboratory anda two-year college — will facilitate collaborative efforts throughb Mesa’s North American Wind Research and Training Center. Projectzs could focus on improvingturbine components, maintenance and repair methods, as well as research to generate more wind and store energy, said New Mexicop Secretary of Energy, Mineralds and Natural Resources Joanna Prukop in a news release. “Hopefully, Sandiq and Mesalands will work together on issued like the use of compressed air toaugmenf wind, and on ways to store energy createe at peak times from wind facilities,” Prukop said.
